Concepts, Inc. Wins Platinum and Gold dotCOMM Awards

BETHESDA, Md. (August 7, 2018)  – Concepts, Inc. received three dotCOMM Awards for its creative work on a website redesign and video for two U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) projects.

The Campaign for Disability Employment’s (CDE) new website redesign received a Platinum dotCOMM Award in the Government Websites category, and ePolicyWorks’ video introducing its online dialogue series received two Gold Awards. The awards program received more than 2,000 entrants from the U.S. and abroad in the competition this year.

Concepts, Inc. designed and launch the CDE’s new website to refresh the Campaign’s online presence and continue to effectively spread its core message. Funded by ODEP, the CDE promotes positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities by encouraging employers and others to recognize the value and talent people with disabilities bring to America’s workplaces.  To date, the CDE has distributed three powerful public service announcements, “I Can,” “Because” and “Who I Am,” all of which were also produced by Concepts and aim to raise awareness and change attitudes about disability and employment.

Since 2013, ePolicyWorks has hosted more than three dozen national online dialogues to engage stakeholders and enable the Federal Government to gather the public’s input on key policy issues related to the employment of people with disabilities. In early 2018, Concepts, Inc. created a two-minute video to explain how these online dialogues work and encourage participation. Also funded by ODEP, ePolicyWorks facilitates a collaborative approach to federal policymaking that leverages Web-based technology, stakeholder involvement and real-time information sharing to shape policy and address specific barriers to employment faced by people with disabilities.

The dotCOMM Awards competition honors excellence in web creativity and digital communication. Entries come from corporate communication departments, public relations firms, digital shops, advertising agencies and freelancers. Entrants include designers, developers, content producers, digital artists, video professionals, account supervisors, creative directors and corporate executives.
