Diana Zeitzer is a disability policy and communications specialist with more than 17 years of experience in the areas of partnership development, communications and social media strategy. In her current role as disability content and outreach manager, she provides communications support for several initiatives funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), including the Campaign for Disability Employment (CDE), the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) and the State Exchange on Employment & Disability (SEED).

Diana previously served as the director of communications for Disability.gov, which was the federal government website for comprehensive information on disability programs and services from 2002-2016. In this capacity, she developed traditional and social media outreach strategies; built partnerships with federal, state and local government agencies and nonprofit organizations; and assisted with content development and quality assurance services.

Prior to joining Concepts, Diana provided communications advice and counsel to the U.S. International Council on Disabilities (USICD), a nonprofit disability rights organization based in Washington, D.C. Her work included developing website content and outreach materials. She also acted as a communications consultant for Disability Policy Solutions, an independent public policy consulting company, where she created promotional and branding materials.

Earlier in her career, Diana spent four years as an account manager at Widmeyer Communications, a public relations firm in Washington, D.C. At Widmeyer, she supported nonprofit and government clients, including the National Association for Bilingual Education and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. Diana also worked closely with corporate clients such as Coca-Cola, Channel One, Inc., and the Ford Motor Company to promote their education initiatives to the media, K-12 education associations and the general public.

Prior to that, Diana worked as a press assistant for the public affairs department of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the government agency responsible for overseeing the AmeriCorps and Senior Corps national service programs. Diana began her career as a production assistant for Idea Television, the Washington, D.C., affiliate of the Brazilian news station, Globo.

Diana graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of arts in media studies with a concentration in film and television studies.
