Jacey Kennedy offers first-hand knowledge of veteran issues and the challenges faced by military families. Currently the wife of an Army officer, as well as a Gold Star Wife, she has a strong understanding of the unique experiences and needs of military spouses and widows.
At Concepts, Jacey assisted with content development and quality assurance services for Disability.gov, an interagency initiative managed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. As part of her responsibilities, she identified resources, wrote plain language descriptions, and organized content to improve navigation and usability for site visitors. Jacey used her military insider perspective to support the National Resource Directory, for which she identified resources related to family and caregiver support and homelessness assistance.
Prior to joining the Concepts team, Jacey worked as a Family Readiness Support Assistant (FRSA) in Fort Hood, Texas, supporting troops and their families during deployment.
Jacey graduated with summa cum laude honors from Slippery Rock University, receiving her bachelor of science in business administration with a focus in finance. She also volunteers with family readiness groups and other military-associated programs.
